Review

Aiden

Absolutely mind-blowing! The visuals are breathtaking, but it’s the fearless, gripping story that really sets this comic apart.

이 만화는 정말 놀라웠어요. 아트워크는 정말 멋졌지만, 저를 사로잡은 건 스토리였어요—어둡고 대담하며 완전히 독창적이에요. 다음 호가 너무 기다려져요.

Hayden

Boksoo The Mortal God is a bold, action-packed debut with stunning art and a story rooted in myth and emotion. A must-read for fans of revenge tales and indie comics.

킬 빌’과 한국 신화를 섞은 느낌이에요—폭력적이면서도 감정적이고, 이상하리만큼 아름다워요. 최근 몇 년간 읽은 언더그라운드 만화 중 최고예요.

  • Yagtal-ja (Blade of Devouring) 약탈자 포식의 검

Forged from the celestial metal Celestialite, Yagtal-ja is no ordinary sword. Its blade holds a cosmic core, a living conduit between the mortal world and the forces of the universe. The weapon measures 103 cm in total length, with a 72 cm cutting edge, balanced for both speed and devastating precision.

The dragon-headed pommel (Yongdu) symbolizes dominion and ancient power, while the dragon-tooth guard (Gumzhe) evokes the weapon’s hunger for souls. The scabbard bears the sacred marks of the Four Guardian Gods Cheongryong (Dragon), Baekho (Tiger), Jujak (Phoenix), and Hyeonmu (Turtle-Snake) cosmic beings tied to the blade’s divine origin.

More than a weapon, Yagtal-ja is a relic of judgment, a blade that answers the call of death, vengeance, and cosmic balance.

  • Boksoo's Armor 복수의 갑옷

Boksoo’s armor is built for a war that spans both the mortal world and the unseen realms. Forged from reinforced black leather and marked with the golden seal of Samjo-ko, the three-legged crow of divine judgment, the suit blends mythic symbolism with brutal practicality. Gold rivets and armored plates reinforce the body like a warrior’s second skin, allowing speed, protection, and relentless movement in combat.

At its center stands the Shatterguard mask, a relic worn not for intimidation but for mercy. It conceals a face said to be too vast for mortal minds to endure. Together, the mask and armor transform Boksoo from a hunted teenager into something far more dangerous:

a living symbol of vengeance, justice, and divine reckoning.

  • Boksoo – The Mortal God 복수: 필멸의 신

In the age when justice falters and darkness gathers in the hidden corners of the world, a figure rises from flame and shadow.

    He is Boksoo.

Marked by the ancient crow of judgment and bearing the devouring blade Yagtal-ja, he walks the boundary between life and death. Mortals see only a masked vigilante, but the old spirits know the truth, Boksoo is the hand of reckoning, the storm that answers the cries of the wronged.

The blade he carries remembers every soul it has claimed, and the mask he wears shields the world from the terrible truth of what he has become.

Where tyrants rule and evil believes itself untouchable, a silent omen appears:

    The crow.

    The blade.

    And the coming of Boksoo.
